The Story of Edgar Sawtelle
Just starting this book which is one of the Oprah Book Club books. I really like it so far. I don’t want to write a huge post as I want to get reading the book! It’s an interesting story and I think it’s appealing to both men and women. My husband is even interested in trying it out once I am finished.
More to come soon!

Pictures and video from Brisingr launch party! →
Wish I could have been there. I loved this book!
FINISHED BRISINGR!
That was a speed read I’d have to say. Luckily my husband has been home and keeping the kids busy for the last few days as I indulged in reading this great story. I am working on typing up some in depth reviews and will post links to them later once I get them published!
If you haven’t read this yet … get on it!

Reading Marathon
My husband and I had a quiet reading night last night. He is reading “Eldest” and I am reading “Brisingr”. In the same 2 hour time period he read 60 pages and I read 110. Hahahaha. He was really mad. He is always bitter that I am a fast reader. Lots happened in those 110 pages so here are my thoughts.
The dwarfs are trying to pick their new chief and it made me...

Halfway Point
I am on page 360! Almost halfway done. I am surprised how fast I am burning throuhg this book. Christopher Paolini seems to have mastered the art of leaving a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter. This is exactly how I felt reading the Da Vinci Code. You can’t just casually read 5 minutes here and there, you just get engrossed in the story.
The storyline is still building towards an...

Brisingr: Ra'zac not so bad?
This might just be me, but it seems like in the first two books the Ra’zac were a lot more formidable opponents. I know Eragon went through some changes and is a lot more powerful now, so it makes sense that he could defeat them. I guess it just seemed like so much build up and then it was over so easily. Sort of a let down when you have been expecting it to be a huge crazy battle. It...

My Book Club Online!
I have always wanted to join a book club, but what with having 2 little children and a husband who is a pilot my schedule just really doesn’t permit it. But I am an avid reader and always want to talk about the books I’m reading. So I decided to start my own personal book club online. It is probably going to end up being more of a reading journal but if you want to jump in and...
